About Us
The Saltisford Canal Arm is a peaceful green space in the heart of Warwick, just below the famous Hatton lock flight on the Grand Union Canal. The site is managed by the Saltisford Canal Trust, a registered charity that works to restore, preserve and promote this historic waterway Saltisford, its heritage and its use by narrowboats, visitors and the local community. Saltisford offers safe harbour for visiting boats along with gardens, orchards and waterside spaces to relax and enjoy. It is home to historic boats, wildlife and blue green surroundings that provide a quiet refuge close to the town centre. The restored canal warehouse houses a visitor centre and shop with friendly staff. Here you will find gifts, books, handmade crafts, chandlery items, ice cream and, when in season, our own honey. As part of your visit to Warwick, come and explore the Saltisford Canal Centre and enjoy a welcoming corner of local history, nature and community life.

Current Projects
Saltisford is an active site that needs ongoing care and improvement. We are currently working on essential safety repairs to the canal edge, improving facilities for boaters, and enhancing the natural habitats around the arm. Many of our projects focus on protecting the historic infrastructure while also making the space safer, more accessible and more welcoming for visitors. These works are often delivered by volunteers alongside specialist contractors where required. You can follow our progress and see how support and donations are making a real impact.
